Travel is powerful. Travel is soul-shaking.

That’s what inspired me to move abroad.

For me a shift was necessary. A shake. A jolt. That impact connects with other human beings in another part of the world -- person to person and soul to soul -- that shakes us to the core and allows us to glimpse the infinite nature of our world and the limitless possibilities that are there for us.

Moving abroad is a huge commitment. Lisbon is a beautiful city! Moving to Lisbon required me to give a lot of love for the experience, a paradigm shift in my thinking, and a lot of perspective. The country of Portugal supported my style of life, the climate I love, and all over the quality of life I wanted to achieve for myself. I left behind my political frustrations, gun culture, and a car-bound lifestyle to live in relative peace and safety in a city that was charming, walkable, and welcoming.
